Secrets of Body Language
Interpreting body language is an interesting subject, and the video was informative, opening my eyes to how much we really show with facial expressions, movements, etc. (We communicate 93% through body language, only 7% through words.) One of the examples shown was the president, Barrack Obama, and his predecessor, George W. Bush. Once, when Bush tried to open a locked door, he ended up blundering in front of the press and media. He assumed an amused look, and this action was probably done to make the whole issue seem like a laughing matter. The action of Bush, done intentionally or not, were revealing to his inner feelings about the situation - embarrassment and annoyance. His mistake not only hurt the image he was trying to create, but his personal pride, so he did his best to cover it up. After watching many examples of celebrities, politicians, and salesmen in similar situations, body language and its interpreters seem even more amazing to me. It is an art difficult to understand and the video enforced this concept in many ways.
